Citykin is a hub for all urban parenting. The good, the bad and the community. Citykin was founded for the moms (and dads!) who want to talk to other parents and thrive on a network of parents around the globe. I created a brand identity, palette, landing page and business cards as well as a brand standards manual.

When working in the marketing department at ULTA Beauty Corporate for three and a half years, I was often in the commercial photo studio creating images I needed to build my designs. Often I would work with the in-house photographer on lighting and styling my work. These are all my own styling. The spilling and manipulation of beauty products was one of my favorite things I worked on at ULTA.

Merge Float is a new float spot for locals in the Chicago area who want a different form or mediation and/or therapy. Otherwise known as floatation-REST (restricted environmental stimulation technique) or sensory deprivation, floating is backed by research and offers immense potential for personal growth and healing. A brand identity and logo was created, as well as various marketing materials. 

ULTAmate Rewards went under a rebrand under myself during 2012 in which the loyalty program at ULTA Beauty was given it's own identity. This was within the ULTA Beauty brand and was rolled out with new loyalty cards, new in-store signage, mailers, online presence and various other marking materials.

The Sandy Dog is a lakefront retreat in Michigan. Named after the owner's beloved Labrador Retriever, Ruthy, they wanted a logo that was somewhat nautical but reflected Ruthy. Below you can see some versioning of the logos before coming up with the final. The palette was created to reflect a cozy lakefront cottage and was used for their kitchen.

I created these wedding invitations as an option for my wedding to resemble a concert ticket and concert posters. This was one option for the entire wedding theme which would include seating chart, table numbers, bar menu and way finding.

True Hue Interiors is an interior design and home staging LLC out of Northwest Indiana. I worked with True Hue on capturing a whimsical and clean logo design and brand identity.  

During my three and a half years at ULTA Beauty, I was the lead designer for their grand opening marketing materials. Each store would get these for their local markets which included 12-page grand opening ad books in newspapers as well as various pre-opening and post-opening marketing print materials. Some would include bus wraps, large scale pre-opening wall wraps, escalator decals etc. Each season has a different look, color which reflected the trends of the season.

These posters were designed, printed and framed for various weddings. These were custom designed for each couple with the location for each of their special days. 

This ULTA Beauty ad was created for the holiday season 2012 and was featured in both Allure and Glamour magazines. Photo styling was also done by myself.

Each season, ULTA would change up it's colors and trends based on what the beauty and fashion industry trends were. Whole campaigns were designed around the colors, model shoots were done and new backgrounds and props were brought in for the product shoots for the books, tabs, etc. All photo styling and layout was created by yours truly.

These ads were published in various publications including Futures Magazine, Barron's and Kiplingers. Clients include Lind-Waldock, Patsystems, ADM Investor Services, US Futures Exchange and others. During my time at Dean Media Group, I spent time on the media team, reporting, finding the right publications for clients and executing the campaign ideas and print layout.

Part of my role at Berglund is to respond to RFPs and RFQs from potential clients, sometimes this is the first impression which can decide if we move forward to obtain getting shortlisted and ultimately a multi-million dollar project. Prior to my tenure at Berglund, the shortlisting percentage rate was 15%. After reworking the entire brand, look and marketing materials, the percentage went up to 70%. The images on the left are some layouts used for proposals which require firm overview, team organizational charts, resumes from team, project sheets and background on our methodology for project execution.
